Accompanied by a professional and experienced crew, you face the ultimate challenge of the mighty river Nile when rushing down 5 grade rapids.

Considered one of the best one day white water trips in the world, no safari to Uganda would be complete without truly experiencing the Nile from its source.

With a commitment to safety, quality and value for money, Nile River Explorers focus on providing our clients with an all inclusive experience of the Nile. We take a personal interest in every detail of your day to ensure your time with us is simply unforgettable.

Overcome your fears then when dashing down the rapids and enjoy the beautiful scenary of the Nile when paddling between the 8 rapids. At the end of your rafting experience (usually in the afternoon,) a tasty BBQ will await you at the shores of the Nile. With the professional rafting equipment, safety boats and experienced kayakers, you will be in the best hands, when going on this adventure. On this Rafting Adventure Tour-Jinja, you will also have sights of some water birds on the shores of the Nile and a taste of the various activities done by the local people during your drive there, since Jinja is a commercial city.

The tour offers a variety of choices, ranging from half day rafting to full day rafting as well as grade 3 to grade 5 rafting. Half day rafting usually finishes in 2 hours and 30 minutes and allows you to come across 4 water rapids while fully day water rafting allows you to come across 8 amazing rapids. You could also opt for family floating trips.

  • Start this day tour as early as possible, departing from Kampala not later than 7.00am. Driving along the Kampala – Jinja road. Along the way, you will pass through lugazi, a place where there are lots of sugarcane plantations, before you head shortly into Mabira, the largest natural forest in Central Uganda that extends several miles along the Kampala – Jinja highway.
  • On reaching the Nile, you will meet the rafting team and have a briefing session during which you will be told the guidelines and given instructions about the rafting activity. You will make a decision between grade 3 and grade 5 rafting. You will then board the boat, after which you will get into the water to try out the safety drills talked about during the briefing session. After this, you set out for the rafting exercise starting with the simple rapids to the intense ones as you continue. The rafting process takes 3 to 4 hours. It is altogether thrilling! After rafting, you will experience a tasty BBQ at the shores of the Nile.
